What happens on a package holiday?
It's been a long time since I've been abroad, and have only been on a plane once before so I'm a bit nervous about our first holiday together that my boyfriend and I have just booked 7 years together and we're so excited, we're like little kids . So I know this will sound like a stupid question to seasoned travellers, but what happens with a package holiday when you land? How do you know where to get your transfer? We've gone with Thomson. I mean, I know it must be pretty simple considering... but I just don't have a clue.Also, I vaguely remember seeing the reps around a lot last time, knocking on our door and trying to sell us excursions and things. But that was with 2wentys so it was a completely different atmosphere. Is that what always happens? Or are the reps in more " grown up" places more discrete, just there to help if you need it?Basically any information at all that you think a package holiday newbie might appreciate would be helpful, I probably have a hundred other questions I just can't think of just yet. The more info I have about what to expect the more relaxed I'll feel.Thanks in advance

there is 4 weeks left before we go, Today i recieved an invoice thats said the flight times have changed I always expect that to happen but the hotel name on the document has changed. They have not said anything about it or contacted me just changed the hotel. I think this is because the one I originally booked is still being done up. What are my rights if any? this other hotel is the same grading but doesnt have as good reviews. I find it very cheeky that they havent mentioned anything and I only know as the name of hotel has changed on the letter. What can I do? Thanx in advance

Can you make changes to a package holiday after it has been booked?
When I was booking a holiday for eight 20 year olds to Magalluf in Majorca, the travel agent reassured me that the hotel we are going to be staying in is lively and has alot of young people there, she said that the hotel was NOT a family hotel. The hotel is the Fiesta Sahara and the travel agent told me that all the hotel that are called, Fiesta or Fresh hotels are for the 18 30 crowd, however after I looked into it on sites like tripadviser, the majority of hotel reviews were coming from families, and one of the reviews was from a young lad who was told the same thing as me, and he was bitterly dissapointed at the hotel was full of kids.Now I was wondering how I should go about approaching the travel agents with this problem, as I still want to go to Magaluf but I certainly don't think a family hotel will be suitable for us. Is there anyway I can change what hotel we are staying in without having to rebook another holiday?Thankshowever after some research and after a family friend returned from a stay in that

My sister and a few friends have booked a holiday to a place notorious for the party lifestyle. Drinking age is 18 there however out of all her friends only 1 will be the legal age when they arrive there this summer.What I wanted to know is, can travel agents sell package holidays to under 18s without expressed permission from the parents?

I bought a holiday package from a reputable travel agent for a Caribbean cruise with air travel via Miami. I was NOT informed that it is legally necessary in USA for travellers to USA to have a machine readable passport or a visa. I had a fully valid non machine readable passport and was also granted an ESTA. I was denied the right to travel by American Airlines and as a result half my family and myself had to buy new flights, get a new passport and lost a week of our cruise

Package holiday or 17 year olds!?
Hi Me and 2 friends are 17 and want to book a package holiday to somewhere like Magalluf. We've looked on different websites for a company that do package deals and accept 17 year olds but we've had no luck. I was hoping you could tell me somewhere that does? All of our parents are happy for us to go and they'd write us letters of consent..We don't really want to book hotel and flights separately. Thankss x
