Questions about taking a holiday in Ireland.?
I'm American and have a great interest in taking a 2 week holiday in Ireland.1 Would you recommend a tour company for a week to see out of the way sights and spend another week checking out Dublin? Or renting a car and trying to figure the roads out?2 When's the best time of the year to visit? Avoiding huge crowds along with nice weather sounds nice.3 Any activities sights that are recommended?4 Tipping is big in America... what is customary in Ireland? Thanks for all who help me out.

We would like to have a holiday in Ireland next year. One week in N Ireland and a second in the South?
We have never been there before and normally rent cottages taking our car with us.Where would be two good locations to stay so that we can see the most? Possibly village locations? We have no children to take and we love the outdoors, scenery, mountains, walking, coastlines, local pubs and my husband is a very keen fisherman.Any sensible ideas would be very welcome. Thank you.

Holiday in Ireland. As they are part of Great Brittain why do they use euros and not Sterling?
Do they speak English or that strange Gaelic language?
Just arrived back from our holiday in Ireland, beautiful country?
The people are so friendly, we rented a bungalow in Co.Kerry, Kenmare and had a fantastic time, weather was a bit wet but the sun also shone. The food was lovely if you asked for a sandwich you got one two inches thick. It does not look so over populated as England is we would both like to live there and we have no Irish blood in us. Why do so many Irish people live in England ?
I have booked a holiday in Ireland for this summer, we are travelling from Dublin to the Ring of Kerry.?
Can you tell me if we can use sterling or need to get our money altered to the Euro. is there plenty of " English" banks about, or anything we need to know.
Is anybody planning to holiday in Ireland and if not why.?
I would like to know how the British feel about holidays in Ireland, I travel there myself on occasion and it seems to be getting more and more expensive and they don't seem to want to lower their prices, what do you think, with the weakening pound will Ireland be hard hit this year?
