How does a holiday in Egypt differ from any other holiday in the med?
My partner and I were looking to visit Egypt, possibly sharm el shiekh however we are worried it will be the same old same old as any other resort type holiday in the med spain, greece, turkey, etc . Is there any benefit to going outside of sharm el sheikh for the duration of our stay in order to see the real Egypt? Or can this be done from sharm el sheikh?Thankyou for your responses

Hi my husband and i are thinking of going to Egypt for out 1st wedding anniversary in april as we ddint get away on honeymoon.Anyway this will be my first time abroad and dont know what to expect there,i think we are thinking of Sharm El Sheikh, had alook online and found a nice hotel with good reviews etc but whats worying me is the tips thing? i mean how much do we tip people and when? do we need jags before we go, think i read we do.whats the best mosquito repellant and really any other useful info that you have would be much appreciated, thanks x

How much I need a week holiday in Egypt Hurghada?
HI I am going to Hurghada and wondering how much I shall bring to there. I have just checked the ex rate and 200EUR makes about 1600 egyptian pound or something. I've read some people who was there telling me the taxi from Airport to the town center will be around 15 EGP. according to the source was correct, I would be more than enough for one week holiday half board ?I would be sunbathing basically and maybe hit the town a few days in the night.tell me how much a can of coke and one main dish at the local ordinary restaurant, It'll give me some idea as well. ThanksThanks Cairojust one more Q you said Be careful where you change your money, use the banks as the high st exchange shops charge large %. < I am thinking to exchange at the leaving airport in Germany, if you have a better idea where I should go ? do you mean I should change in Egypt? Have small EG pounds 5,10,20 as the taxi drivers will try to con you, saying you gave them 50 peastas and not 50 pounds.< 50 peastas? not 50pounds? I don't get it sorry so you said that the Taxi from Hurghada airport to the Hurghada town will be 40EGP right?Please advise again thanks
