Question: U.s. citizen getting new zealand work holiday visa questions?
(Posted by: on 2012-01-24 07:41:37)
So I applied for it about 5 days ago and it says the status of it is completed pending process...what does this mean? and how long does it tend to take for them to get back to you? Will they email when they have made the decision? What travel insurance would be the best? Also if I'm on a work visa how should I go about banking? Thanks! My girlfriend lives here so gonna live here for a year so she can make some money and pay off her school stuff and hopefully come back to the U.S. |

If you asked for a response via email then yes you will i guess. As for travel insurance then either aa or 1cover. Not sure what you're trying to ask about the banking stuff. |

Ive been playing with this answer and I cant seem to get my message out, try this. In NZ you will not make much money at all. The money you do make will spend very quickly. Check the prices of bread. 5 bucks a loaf, 7 to 8 bucks for just one beer, 6 bucks a gallon of gas, NZ is not all that. Further they hate "yanks ". It wont matter how much you trash talk the US they will still be as rude and mean to you as they possibly can. When people at work realize your a yank they will go out of their way to treat you like sh &t. I hope you understand. |

My advice to you - don't even think about working in New Zealand. A waste of time! If you have a job, better to save your money and go to NZ for a holiday. Have a good time then go back where you can earn proper money. Wages and working conditions in NZ are a joke. |
