Question: Help.... foreign holiday to include a safari?
(Posted by: on 2012-01-24 05:13:19)
My son is wanting to go on holiday this year somewhere that has a safari. As he is only 12 I don't fancy Africa and places like that. Does anyone now anywhere in Spain, Greece or anywhere like that that has an amazing safari? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Shellie :) |

Spain doesn't have many safari's.. how many giraffes and elephants have you seen in tenerife or barcelona except zoos? Go to a travel agents; they're often the best to recommend specific places and resorts. Australia sounds alright, Africa is the best for safari's but if you don't want it for some reason I'd stick to a travel agents as they're the best for holiday options. |

Whilst Australia sounds good, it will cost even more than going to Africa. I would save a long trip until he is older, and maybe paying. Instead how about visiting a Safari Park in the UK (or France if you want to go abroad). Possibilities include Longleat or Woburn in Southern England or Blair Drummond in Scotland longleat.co.uk/ en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/ Woburn_Safari_Park blairdrummond.com/ You could expand this from a day out into a holiday, by hunting down some native British Wildlife - Ponies on Exmoor, Deer in the Scottish Highlands, seals and birds etc. |
