A holiday in Ireland and Scotlland?
I am planning a trip to Ireland and maybe Scotland, I will be staying at a friends home in Wicklow. I would love any info on when, where etc. Also has anyone flown AirFrance?

Holiday in Ireland planning and cash.?
Myself and a friend are planning on visiting Ireland next summer. We are bickering friendly bickering over plans. I want to either land in Shannon and work our way to Dublin. My friend wants to base us in Tipperary Cashel and travel everywhere based from there. We have a 7 day window once we are in Ireland so we need suggestions from those who live there on which would be the better plan for travel times and what to see. We also need an idea on how much money we will need aside from air fare and lodging for food and getting around. We are not touristy and do not want to fall into tourist traps aimed at taking advantage of us Yanks, lol...Thanks in advance...

Does a holiday in Ireland sound good?

Would 6000 pounds be enough for a 2 week holiday in Ireland and Scotland?
My mum and I are taking a 2 week holiday in June 2011.We want to spend a week in Ireland and a week in Scotland.Of course we're not planning on staying in 5 star hotels and eating at gourmet restaurants every day but we would like to be comfortable.I've done some research and accommodation seems to be fairly inexpensive. And our flights are taken care of.I'd just like to know if 6000 pounds would be enough for those 2 weeks or even 3 weeks...Any insight would be awesome

What are the official dates for summer holidays in ireland for builders?

Is anybody planning to holiday in Ireland and if not why.?
I would like to know how the British feel about holidays in Ireland, I travel there myself on occasion and it seems to be getting more and more expensive and they don't seem to want to lower their prices, what do you think, with the weakening pound will Ireland be hard hit this year?

I have booked a holiday in Ireland for this summer, we are travelling from Dublin to the Ring of Kerry.?
Can you tell me if we can use sterling or need to get our money altered to the Euro. is there plenty of " English" banks about, or anything we need to know.

Different type of holiday in Ireland?
Hi,I'm Irish and up until now all our holidays have been 1 or 2 weeks in Lanzarote Crete Turkey etc. which consisted of sun, eating out and drinking with a tour or two. However this year I have finally tackled my alcoholism and an now 6 months in recovery, also I was made redundant a year ago when the company I worked for closed down so I don't have any money. My partner is thankfully still employed and has 2 weeks off in July. We would like to do something during his time off in Ireland. We could maybe afford a 2 night mid week break somewhere. We have a car so are not limited to bus routes.Basically I am looking for recommendations please for somewhere nice in Ireland where there is plenty to see, and not somewhere with a huge emphasis on drinking. Also on a tight budget Also if anyone has any ideas on days out to OPW sites etc. for the rest of his 2 weeks off I would greatly appreciate it.Thanks meals out I can do, but pubs are a no go. My partner does drink but can take it or leave it, he has no problem with a sober holiday. This is a new type of holiday for me so would appreciate all ideas thoughts. Thanks a million Wow guys, thanks for the support And thank you for the ideas

I'm an American looking to holiday in Ireland. What are Irish people like?
Note i'm not looking for stereotypes.....

Would 800 euros be enough spending money for a 2 week holiday in Ireland?
I'm considering traveling there next year May, but if anyone has had experience with vacationing there or knows of the lifestyle I would appreciate your feedback. hotel, tours and breakfast & dinner I've got covered.
