Tips for a ten day holiday in india please?
My husband and I are spending ten days in India in January, flying into Tiruchirapalli and out from Mumbai. Such a short time there so want to get in just a couple of highlights, and any tips or advice would be great.Thinking of spending a couple of days in Kodaikanal hill station, doing some walking, then going on to Kochi to do a backwater tour, before heading up to Mumbai for a couple of days. Maybe Goa on the way? Does anyone know what is the best way to get around hoping to get trains mostly and also tips on sorting out our backwater tour, I'd prefer to do a simple one than in any sort of luxury but don't really know how to go about it, should we just wait till we get there and turn up or will we need to book online?Also this will be the end of a seven week round the world trip and though I don't mind some big journeys between places we'd rather not be constantly on the road... I know that's a big ask considering how massive india is. We were meant to be staying with friends in Tamil Nadu before making our way to Mumbai but they've cancelled, hence the random arrival airport.Thank you

helloI'm in India and I'm a little afraid of mosquitoes and malaria they might infect me with. I'm a North European tourist. What do you Indians do, to keep them away from you? At night the malaria mosquitoes are especially active. Do you guys sleep with your clothes on that's what my doctor told me to do . Thanks for your help
