Looking for a holiday cottage in Pembrokeshire (Tenby area) for last week in August?
Does anyone know of someone with a holiday cottage that may have had a cancellation etc. Have been on the internet for days and not had any luck. Looking for a holiday cottage apartment for 2 x adults and 2 x children aged 10 for last week in August. Any ideas gratefully received and thanks in advance.
Can you take more people to a holiday cottage?
If it says online sleeps 12 or whatever, can you then take 16 and bring a few sleeping bags?

Where can I find remote, isolated holiday cottages in the UK?
There are millions of websites advertising holiday cottages in the UK. I am looking to rent an isolated cottage for just me one, I assume sleeps two in a remote area of the British Isles I favour the highlands, NW Wales or Cornwall during the Christmas period 18 19 December to 3rd January. I want solitude, peace and quiet and beautiful scenery and hiking. Anyone got any suggestions or know of some really good websites?
Why are holiday cottages so expensive to rent at christmas?
I don't understand why they are so expensive to rent on christmas week. The weeks leading up to christmas they are cheap then on christmas week the double some even triple there prices why is this? I have never been away at christmas its just this year i have had such a bad year. First i lost my job, then my landlord went bankcrup and me and my husband had to move back in with family which is awful than i lost my baby, and i just wanted to get away this christmas to be stress free. So why do they have to charge so much?

We need two holiday cottages preferably close together, however one would take dogs and one would definitely not take dogs We are two families trying to go on holiday together. A holiday cottage for new years?
I know it's early but I like to get things planned in advance. My bf & i want to do something different for New years eve. We're thinking of going to a little cottage, somewhere peaceful & quiet with an open fire or log burning stove. Very romantic. We only want to go away for 2 nights 31 12 02 01 but most places want you to book for a minimum of 7 nights. Any suggestions? Thank you
