I need a cheap way to stay in contact with someone while he's on holiday?
My boyfriend and I live in Australia, and our mobile phones are with Telstra. He's going to Bali with his family for two weeks. This is the longest we've ever been apart and neither of us know how we're going to react to this. The longest we've ever been apart is one week, and that was torture. We had to be texting regularly and calls most nights and STILL missed each other like crazy. We were still both in Australia though so it was cheap to stay in contact. If we text message or call each other while he's overseas it's going to cost A LOT of money. Of course he's worth it and he would say the same about me, but the problem is at the moment we're just college students and couldn't afford the bill. Plus I know with some mobiles, they become disabled when they leave Australia .. not sure why, but my mother's mobile wouldn't work outside Australia. So it's most likely going to be two weeks of no contact at all ... I have Skype on my phone but he doesn't and he can't download it because his phone doesn't support it ... we can't use computers because he won't have access to one. Any idea on how we can stay in contact? I know it's probably nearly impossible but I thought I'd ask anyway ...PS I have no idea where to categorise this question, so it's posted a few times ...

I'm planning on making reservations to see a stand up show at New York's Comedy Cellar in the West Village . Their weekend lineups typically have Louis CK, Dave Attell, and Tom Papa to name a few...I was curious if anyone has ever been to a Holiday weekend show, as I plan on going on Sunday night of Columbus Day Weekend.
